SubbieSpace is a professional marketplace. These standards apply to homeowners, subcontractors, companies, and administrators.
Be honest and professional
- Use accurate identity, business, licence, insurance, and experience information.
- Post genuine work opportunities and realistic requirements.
- Communicate clearly about scope, price, timing, access, and changes.
Treat people fairly
- No harassment, threats, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive language.
- Do not pressure users to move off-platform to avoid safeguards or fees.
- Respect privacy and only use contact information for the agreed work.
Protect marketplace trust
- Do not create fake jobs, applications, reviews, profiles, or documents.
- Do not manipulate ratings, lead credits, payments, or referral benefits.
- Do not request gift cards, cryptocurrency, verification codes or other suspicious payment arrangements.
- Do not share another person's sensitive personal information without a legitimate reason and authority.
- Report safety concerns, suspicious activity, and serious disputes promptly.
Automated safety checks and appeals
SubbieSpace uses structured automated checks to identify harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, threats, graphic violence, scams, spam, impersonation, illegal activity, suspicious payments and sensitive information. Context matters: ordinary Australian workplace language, casual swearing and friendly banter are not automatically harassment. Content may be allowed, logged, temporarily hidden for review or blocked. High-impact decisions are reviewed by a person unless a deterministic severe-safety rule requires an immediate temporary restriction. Users may appeal restrictions through Safety Centre.
Enforcement
SubbieSpace may remove content, warn users, restrict messaging, suspend accounts, ban accounts after appropriate review, preserve relevant evidence, or refer conduct to authorities where reasonably necessary. Repeated violations may escalate from warning to temporary messaging restriction, temporary suspension and account review.
